Our Under 15 football team have rounded off a fantastic season by winning the County Cup Final thanks to a 2-1 win over St Cuthbert’s High School from Newcastle.
The match took place at Newcastle University’s Sports Grounds where both teams contested the final of a competition that was first established in 1912. The 102-year-old Blake Challenge Cup was won by Cramlington after a magnificent first half performance in which K Ross and C Spooner gave their side a 2-0 half time lead. St Cuthbert’s fought back well and pulled a goal back before causing some anxious moments in the closing stages of the match but it wasn’t enough to prevent a Cramlington win.
