Our school campus is clearly divided into 3 – the Junior Learning Village, the Senior Learning Village and the Advanced Learning Village. This three parts gives a human scale to the larger institution of Cramlington Learning Village.
Throughout years 7 – 13 each pupil is allocated to a home group and has a learning guide who knows them better than anyone else. The learning guide is the broker of support for all members of their home group and is an advocate for them in school. The learning guide has the ability to refer members of their home group to other services within the school to give support.
The learning guide works closely with a learning manager and a pastoral co-ordinator who work to support students in a year group.
Learning Reviews take place on a daily basis across the campus for all students, these reviews, which are a 1 to 1 for all pupils have a dual focus of academic progress and the holistic well being of each child. Parents are invited to these reviews and in particularly in years 7 and 8 attendance is good.
Student Counsellors both in the JLV and SLV provide group and individual sessions for young people at risk of emotional and social difficulties.
A school nurse in the SLV works alongside a pastoral assistant in the JLV and together are the first point of first aid across the campus.
