It also includes any \u2018looked after children\u2019 and students who have parents in the Armed forces. The amount received by the school depends on the number of children whose parents register to receive FSM or come under the above categories. Schools decide how the Pupil Premium, allocated to schools per FSM pupil, is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>All members of staff, governors and teaching assistants accept responsibility for \u2018socially disadvantaged\u2019 students and are committed to meeting their pastoral, social and academic needs within the school environment. We will work towards removing any barriers to learning students face such as, poor attendance, weak literacy and numeracy and emotional and behavioural difficulties.<\/p>\n<p>Cramlington Learning Village is committed to \u2018Closing the Gap\u2019 for vulnerable students and the Pupil Premium will form a vital part of that process.
