The main character in \u201cAre We All Lemmings &amp; Snowflakes?\u201d is struggling with her mental health until she decides to try to make the world a kinder place. \u201cBooks are a really safe way of exploring the darker parts of the human experience and help make sense of life,\u201d she told students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t give somebody a mental health problem by talking about it.\u00a0 You can actually really help people and open up those streams of support so people will feel less alone.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5226 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cramlingtonlv.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/180927A_005.jpg\" alt=\"Holly Bourne With CLV Students\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cramlingtonlv.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/180927A_005.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.cramlingtonlv.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/180927A_005-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cramlingtonlv.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/180927A_005-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cramlingtonlv.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/180927A_005-120x80.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Her visit to the school coincided with World Mental Health Day and the release of a report from the National Literacy Trust which showed that children who enjoy reading in their spare time enjoy better mental wellbeing than their peers who don\u2019t read for pleasure.<\/p>\n<p>Holly praised the way Cramlington Learning Village encourages its students to keep reading.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s amazing to be in a school which really fosters and nurtures a love of reading for pleasure.
