Our Year 8 boys team have booked a place in the Northumberland County Cup Final after a thrilling 5-4 extra time victory over an impressive Ovingham side. Two goals from Matthew G, two from Aidan P and a winner in extra time from Callum W, completed a great comeback, as CLV had been both 3-1 and 4-3 down. Great resilience from the team which now leads them to the final.<\/p>\n
There was a great effort from the U13 girls squad in their recent quarter finals cup tie . It was a tough battle against Ponteland, who led for the majority of the game, but the team pulled it back and took the game to extra time – scoring the winner in the last 2 minutes!\u00a0 An excellent effort and a big thanks to those who volunteered during the game. A special mention to super keeper Maddie L who put in an amazing performance. Semi finals will take place after the Easter Holidays.<\/p>\n
Well done to the U19 boys team who are through to the Subsidiary Cup final following an impressive 3-1 win away at Gosforth Academy in the semi final recently. Goals from Scott S, Matthew C and a very kind Gosforth player ensured that CLV get to defend the trophy they won last year. Special mention to Adam `Benitez` W for the great tactical game plan which worked so well.<\/p>\n
