A group of interested y11 and y12 students were invited to hear all about life as a barrister by Jodie James-Stadden from Hadaway & Hadaway, a local solicitors based in North Shields this month.
Jodie gave our students some excellent advice on career routes into law and gave the students insight into her job including her roles within the law firm and the roles and responsibilities of a barrister.
Students looked at real life cases, particularly looking at a case involving a woman in rent arrears, and discussed how they would approach the case and what the outcome would be.
The session was very informative and the students thanked Jodie for giving up her time to talk to them about the world of law.
