We are delighted with our GCSE results this year with 69% of all students achieving the benchmark pass grade in both English and Maths, up two percent on last year’s figure. 81% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in English and 75% achieved this standard in Maths. In English almost one quarter of all students achieved a grade 7 or above.
Two-thirds of students achieved the benchmark of 5 grades of C or above with at least a grade 4 in English and Maths.
There were some spectacular individual performances with 28 students achieving 8 or more grades of A*/A/7/8/9.
This is a hugely satisfying set of results for the school. The new exams in English and Maths have been challenging for both students and staff and they have performed incredibly well. I am delighted with the results of the whole year group, which reflect their hard work and commitment.
