County Cup final for Y9 football team; other teams continue their good start after half term break

Our year 9 team delivered an outstanding collective performance against a strong St Thomas More side to reach the final of the County Cup. The teams were deadlocked at 1-1 through 90 minutes and then extra time, leaving the game decided on penalties with CLV coming out on top to win 3-1.

Well done to the team on a great performance, we wish you every success in the final.

Our U14 girls team resumed the 7 a side league with two games on Monday. The girls were 2-0 winners against Prudhoe but lost 2-0 to Berwick in their second game. Well done to the girls on a good start, there are upcoming games next week for both the U14 and U16 teams.

Our 6th form team came out on top against a resilient Kenton side on Monday, winning 3-2 on the night. CLV got off to a great start coming in at half time with a 3-0 lead, with goals from Ryan M, Corey McK and Jack W. Despite Kenton’s great efforts in the second half, the boys were able to secure the win with a good team effort.

Good luck to all our teams in their next matches.
